            <text>Betty Ann Lavender, 91, of Mason, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025. She was born on May 8, 1934, in Gibbstown, West Virginia, to the late Elmer and Amanda (Edwards) Roach.&#13;
&#13;
A devoted mother, grandmother, and woman of strong faith, Betty attended the Middleport Wesleyan Holiness Church. Her love for her family and her church community was unwavering. She lived for the simple joys in life—most especially fishing, a pastime she treasured throughout her years.&#13;
&#13;
Betty is survived by her loving children: Amanda Grimm, Randy Lavender, Estel Lavender, Rick Lavender, Rusty Lavender, Angie Lavender, and Heather Boswell. She also leaves behind a remarkable legacy through her 26 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Lorna Forsee, along with several nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Howard Lavender; her son, Ronnie Lavender; granddaughter, Luanna Faye Lavender and Stacie Grimm; and great-granddaughter, Jessica Rose; brothers Ray, Ralph. Rankin, Russell, Rex, Sam, Randall and Robert; sisters Peggy Hutton and Alice Tripp&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Family and friends may gather for visitation beginning at 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Zerkle Cemetery.&#13;
&#13;
Betty’s life was marked by devotion, warmth, and a quiet strength that touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.</text>
