            <text>Gary Ray York, 61, of Shade Ohio was called home on August 18, 2025. He was born on January 14, 1964 in Van Wert Ohio to Charles and Linda York.&#13;
&#13;
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, his mother in law, father in law, Lina and Manuel Baroy. And his grandson Keatyn.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his wife Jelly and their 4 pets. 5 children, Mike York of Guysville. Brad (Allison) York of Chauncey. Amber York of Albany, Kaitlynn York of lowa and Lance Baroy of the Philippines.&#13;
&#13;
Several very special grandchildren, Landyn, Kayanna, Weston, Keisor, Adilyn, Lukas and Atticus.&#13;
&#13;
2 brother and 2 sisters Brenda (Dave) Burger of Van Wert, Diane York of Van Wert, Steve (Judy) York of Ray Ohio and Clint (Tracy) York of Van Wert.&#13;
&#13;
And many nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
Gary served in the United States Army/ Army National Guard. He was retired from ODOT, was a member of the Whitetails Unlimited NRA as well as a member of the Eagles..&#13;
&#13;
A very avid hunter, who enjoyed being outdoors and sharing stories of his adventures and helping others with the best hunting advice. Not only hunting but was the best "go to" man for any situation!&#13;
&#13;
Always willing to share his knowledge especially if that meant it was to help someone.&#13;
&#13;
Viewing will be held on Monday August 25, 2025 at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral home in Pomeroy Ohio from 11 am to 12 pm.&#13;
&#13;
Burial services will follow after at the Riverside cemetery in Rockford Ohio at 4pm.&#13;
&#13;
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.</text>
