<text>On September 29, 2025, Harold Franklin “Frank” Elliott, age 75, of Racine, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, he left this world with the same strength, dignity, and love that he carried throughout his life.

Born May 13, 1950, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Frank lived a life of service, devotion, and joy. A proud and decorated Vietnam veteran, he faithfully served his country in the United States Army for 22+ years. His career carried him across the world, including tours in Vietnam, Germany, Korea, and many other places where he answered the call of duty with honor. He also served as a recruiter in the Army where he guided many young individuals in finding their path, often into military service, leaving behind a legacy of influence. Many of those individuals returned to visit and thank him for helping them find their path. Frank was deeply proud of his military service and the brothers and sisters in arms he served alongside, and he carried that pride with him every day of his life.

But beyond his service, Frank will be remembered for the way he loved his family and made them laugh even with his famously corny jokes that never failed to bring smiles. His sense of humor was one of his greatest gifts, brightening even the hardest days.

Frank was also a member of the Middleport Church of Christ, where his faith remained an important foundation throughout his life.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Catherine “Cathy” Elliott and their children; Catherine “Mandy” (Daniel) Morris, Harold “Frankie” (Baylee) Elliott, Shauna (Andrew) See, and Rachel (Johnnie) Wamsley. He was the proud Papa of Cody (Amanda) Morris, Ashley (Caleb) Tomes, Haidyn Elliott, Benjamin Wamsley, Vail See, Theodore Wamsley, and Holden Elliott; the cherished great-grandfather of Marie and Meila Morris, Serenity and Soren Tomes. He is also survived by his brothers Herman “Dickie” Elliott and Herbert “Herb” (Marcia) Elliott; his sisters Kathy Stewart and Thelma “Susie” Pearson, and sister-in-law Alice May; and many more beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Elliott-Weaver and Howard Elliott; his brothers and sisters Julia, Howard, Harry, Henry, Anna, Diane, his mother-in-law, Rosanna Manley and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

To his family, Frank was more than a husband, father, and Papa. He was their storyteller, encourager, protector, and comic relief. His laughter, his wisdom, and his unwavering love will echo through generations.

At ease, soldier. Your watch is complete. Discharged into God’s care. HOOAH!

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on October 4, 2025 with viewing hours between 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home, 264 South Second Avenue, Middleport, Ohio with military honors. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington Virginia at a later date. The family welcomes all who knew and loved him to join in remembering not only the man he was, but the joy and love he brought into every life he touched.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to a military related charity such as K9s For Warriors, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Fisher House Foundation, etc. or the Meigs County Cancer Initiative, P. O. Box 85, Pomeroy, Ohio 45769. </text>
