            <text>Lila Irene Bahr Van Meter, born October 24, 1944, went peacefully Home on May 7, 2026.&#13;
&#13;
With a heart full of love, she joined her husband, Donald Van Meter, her sisters, Brenda Bahr and Linda Freeman, her parents Victor and Wilma (Stivers) Bahr and many other family members and friends for a Homecoming celebration.&#13;
&#13;
Lila leaves behind her children, Alvena (Mike) Collins and Victor (Melissa) Van Meter; her six grandchildren, Mariah (Ray) Hess, Addie Hill, Johnathon (Jordan) Harris, Emily Van Meter, Carson Van Meter, and Jessie Collins; her four great-grandchildren, Rowan Peterson, Maeve and Jack Harris, and Raelynn Hess; and her sisters, Kathy Stone and Jane Baker.&#13;
&#13;
Lila was a lifelong member of South Bethel Community Church on Silver Ridge, where past generations of her family were part of the community that founded the church. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed crocheting and traveling to Dwight Icenhower concerts with treasured friends. Lila passed on to her children the joy of reading and the love of music.&#13;
&#13;
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 11:00am at the South Bethel Cemetery.   Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 6-8:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.   </text>
