The levies up for a vote

the levy to bring in

The one mill current

as follows on the ballot:

As previously reported.
the village currently has a

In the congressional district
that's home to the Kennedy family compound, a Kennedy public
skating rink and a Kennedy museum, the heart of liberalism is beating uneasily.
Rcf?ublican Jeff Perry is making
a senous bid to take over a scat
held by Democrats for nearly 40
years - and it's just one of nearly 100 scats across the country
that now appear unde~: at least
some thrent of slipping away from
the majority party and giving conI trol of the U.S. House lt) the GOP..
At least 75 House seats - the
vast majm ity held by Democrat~
- arc at ~crinus risk of changing

where Democrats were assumed
to have the upper hand have lightened in recent weeks, raismg the
possibility that some could nip to
the Republican<; ns well.
Perry, a Massachusetts state
rcpre entative. is in one of those
contests here in the 1Oth
Congressional District. which
stretches from Quincy, just outside Boston, along Cape Cod and
across to the \ acation playgrounds of Martha's Vineyard and
Nantucket. He is talking tough on
taxes. immigratiOn refonn and the
health care law. and he's locked in
a competitive race with Democrat
William Keating for the open seat.
It's a surprisinf? turn in
Massachusetts and JUSt one of
nearly n dozen ~.·onte:-;ts ucross the
country illustrating trouble in
Democratic paradise.
Republicans have long believed
they have a ch~tncc to \"'in back
the House, and pos~ibly the
Senate. Now, emboldened by
polls showing even more of their
candidate~
tunning strongly.
they're reaching into territory
where Democrats were thought to
be safe. in races from New York
to Georgia to Wisconsin and
Arizona.
Even
the
longest-servmg
Democrat. Rep. John Dingell of
Michigan, \\hO has coasted to reelection in recent years. is mounting an aggressive campaign
against his GOP challenger, Rob

Dingell could be in dan~er, Lhe
Democrats' House campmgn arm
last month i"sued a memo saying
he would win but <Hiding pointedly: ""All Democratic incumbents
should take a page out nf his playbook and 'run scared' cad1 cycle.
especially 20 I0. even if they are
not tnlly afraid of losing."
The Republicans' strategy is
part psychology and part raw
number . By targeting hmmakers
once viewed as sate. the GOP can
goad Democrats into spreading
their money and energy across
more race ... By placing more bet'\
around the map. however long the
odds, Republicans increa e theu
chances of reaching the 40-seat
gain that ,tould drive out Hou.e
Speaker Nancy Pelosi and hand
them House control.

of the economy. 13ut one finding of the study is
that more than half the cost associated with flight
delays is borne by passengers.
Those cost'\ likely were lower in the three years

There will always be flight delays due ,to
