Laurence R. Zimmerman, 86, New Haven, WV., formerly of Albany, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023,
at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.
Born September 23, 1936, in Stewart, the son of the late John and Sylvia Sutton Zimmerman.
He was a retired U.S. Postal Service mail carrier of 35 years and had worked at C & E. Hardware.
He was a member of Carpenter Baptist Church.
Laurence is survived by children Laurence Jr. (Letha) Zimmerman, Fred Zimmerman (Fiancé Kateryna),
Laurel (Steven) Sigman, Kirsten (Michael) James, Misty (Roger) Monk, and Lorna (Don) Woodson; grandchildren, Heather, Cody, Casey, Freddie, Tori, Kloe, Cole, Beau, Mathias, Caynaan, Grier, Joe, Nick, Whitney, Christine, Carley, Ariadne, Morgan, Tyler, Angelina, Hope, Adam, and Felisia; great-grandchildren, Madison, Destanee, Gaige, Chanel, Carter, Scarlet, Amelia, Asher, Jocelynn, Adalyn, McKenna, Christopher, Kinsley, and Kapri; brothers Bill, Leonard, Ralph, Jess, Johnny, and Roger Zimmerman; special friend Ellen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother Larry Zimmerman.
Services will be Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, with Pastors Don Swick and
Bert Christian officiating. Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 6-8 P.M. at
the funeral home.
