Anna Laura Lester, 92, Gallipolis, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022 in the Holzer Medical Center. Born January 3, 1930 in Huntington, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late John B. and Lillie Mayes Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rodney Pike Church of God.

She married Raymond H. Lester on February 7, 1950 in Lawrence County, Ohio and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1975.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Karen (Matt) Maddox, of Vinton and her son, Raymond "Ray" (Linda) Lester, of Bradenton, Florida, a granddaughter, Angela (Jake Jones) Stowers, of Vinton and a grandson, Zachery Belville, of Vinton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Garnet Morrison and brothers, Harlan Stewart, Charles Stewart, Fred Stewart and two brothers in infancy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2022 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Bynum will officiate. Interment will be in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
