Christine “Chris” Sue McClain Hill, 66, of Syracuse, passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her sons. Born January 21, 1955, in Athens, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Howard and Gladys Maddox McClain. Chris was a volunteer at the Meigs county cooperative Parish and also a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Rob (Shelly) Hill, of Rutland, and Ryan Hill, of Athens, a granddaughter, Chloe Hill. Brother, Craig (Susie) Troxel, of Lake Erie, Ohio, a sister, Janet (Jack) Malloy, of Shade, father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Hill, brothers-in-law, Pat (Nancy) Hill, and Jay (Brenda) Hill, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Philip Hill who she married on February 24, 1978 in Athens and he preceded her on May 5, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine, Ohio with Rev. Wesley Thoene officiating. Friends may call an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
