Cathy Lynn Carleton, 66, of Racine, passed away peacefully at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Born July 31, 1952, daughter of the late Everette C. Sayre and Maxine Mount Kesterson. Cathy took pride in her life long career as secretary of J.D. Drilling Company in which she dedicated many years of her life making many friends and added family along the way.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Carleton, whom she married on July 31, 1970, in Racine, her daughters, Angela “Angie” Nelson, of Racine, and Jennifer “Jenny” (Shaun) Seth, of Long Bottom, grandchildren, Kase Nelson, Caelin Seth, and Corey Seth. Brothers, Brady Sayer, of Pomeroy, Larry (Delores) Sayre, of Syracuse, Clyde (Debbie) Sayre, of Racine, and Terry (Sharon) Sayre, of Fernandina Beach, Fl, a sister-in-law, Margaret Ann (Arthur) Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Holzer Hospice for their care and comfort in Cathy’s final days.
A joint graveside service with her late husband will be held in the Carmel Cemetery Saturday April 13th, 2019 at 2:00PM with Jay Rees & John Westover officiating.
The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine is entrusted with the arrangements.
