Kevin Wayne Jackson, 58, of Gallipolis, passed away, on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at his residence. Born November 27,1959, in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Clara Lou Evans and William Orville Jackson, who survives in Columbus. He was a Utility Operator at the Lightstone Generation Gavin Plant in Cheshire, and he also served as the current President of the Utility Workers Union of America Local #296. He also was a member of the Paint Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Kevin Jackson, II, of Gallipolis, and Jordan (Caetea Mullens) Jackson, of Point Pleasant, WV., grandchildren, Jacob Jackson, Jeremiah Jackson, and Xander Gilbert, the mother of his children, Stephanie Jackson, of Point Pleasant, WV. His brothers, Keith (Paula) Jackson, of Houston, Tx., and Kirk Jackson, of Columbus, sisters, Kim Jackson, of Columbus, Karen (Maurice) Traylor, of Columbus, and Kelly (Lloyd) Ashford, of Columbus, a special niece, Nicole Ramey and her daughter, Haylie, his cat, Prissy, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the Paint Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Christian Scott will officiate and interment will follow in the Morgan Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the Church on Thursday. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis is entrusted with the arrangements.
