James Johnson, 37, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 11:11 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 in the Arbors at Gallipolis. Born April 26, 1981, in Columbus he was the son of Timothy Ray and Kathy Smith Knapp. He was a laborer, and he had a wonderful sense of humor, and was a very compassionate person who loved everyone.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandmothers, Emily Downton, and Roberta Knapp, both of Columbus his sisters, Brenda Fetherolf, and Linda Knapp, both of Washington Courthouse, a brother, Ray Johnson, of Salem, Ohio. A niece, Molly Springer, a nephew, Eathyn Fetherolf, an uncle, Mike Knapp, an aunt, Beatrice (Bill) Butler, and numerous cousins also survive.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ralph Knapp, and Ralf Downton, and a great-grandmother, Maude Smith.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, assisting the family.
