Barbara Johnson Huber, 81, Gallipolis, passed away at 2:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the Holzer Assisted Living. Born November 17, 1936 in Ohio Township of Gallia County she was the daughter of the late Chauncey and Ruth Elliott Johnson. She was a 1954 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and was retired after 24 years of service as Director of Human Resources at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

She married Michael Thomas Huber in October of 1988 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2015.

Barbara is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Adeline and Edmund D’Andrea, of Columbus, Ohio, step-son, Thomas Huber, Philadelphia, PA, two step-grandchildren, Anna Livingston Huber and Otto Edward Huber, both of Philadelphia, sisters-in-law, Josie (John) Metzger, of Moraga, California and Kathy Huber, of Oregon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Barb was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Michelle Huber and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Opal and Ernest Halley, Bonnie and Harold Swindler, Pauline and Charles Clark, Tressa and Marland Cremeens, brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Ellen Johnson, Merrill and Jane Ann Johnson, Vance and Mickey Johnson, Clarence “John” and Mary Johnson, Junior Johnson, Harold Lee Johnson and Billy Joe Johnson.

Friends may call from 6 – 8 P.M. Thursday, April 5, 2018, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis. A graveside service will be conducted at 12 Noon, Friday, April 6, 2018, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Marion, Ohio with Father Thomas Buffer, Rector at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marion, Ohio, officiating. Interment will be on the Huber family plot. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Barb’s memory to the Holzer Hospice, 100 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, OH 45631.
