Gerald Eugene “Gene” Campbell, 80, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 5:07 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in the Abbyshire Place, Bidwell. Born April 22, 1937 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Maurice and Lena Van Sickle Campbell. He was a retired over the road truck driver.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Franklin, of Gallipolis, Bonnie Burke, of Bidwell, Sandra Eblin, of Gallipolis, Harold E. Campbell, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and Gerald A. (Tonya) Campbell, of Peebles, Oh., nineteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild on the way.
In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his wife, Lana Turner Campbell, a son, Wayne Allen Campbell, and a brother, Wayne Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on March 23, 2018 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral services. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.cremeensking.com
