W. Bruce Smith, age 75, passed away on January 10, 2023 at his home. He was born on November 11, 1947 in Weston, West Virginia son of the late Willard and Ruth Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Jerry Bement of Norwalk, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lori Smith of Racine, Ohio; two grandsons, Nathan of Norwalk and Justin of Racine. He is also survived by his beloved dashhounds, Mickey and Barney.
He worked for Kaiser Aluminum and retired 33 years later from Pickiney. He was a maintenance manager for an RV resort in Florida for a few years before moving to Ohio.
He was a "car guy" his whole life and loved working in his garage on his projects. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11am at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Visitation will be held one hour prior. A luncheon will follow at Riverside Golf Course in Mason, WV.
