Grover W. “Dick” Green, 92, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Holzer Medical Center.
Born on February 19, 1930 in Crown City, Ohio, Grover was the son of the late Ira E. and Myrtle Slater Green. Grover worked for Union Local #83 Portsmouth, Ohio and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing poker and farming.
Grover is survived by his children, Angela Harris of Wichita, Kansas, Dennis (Rosetta) Green of Crown City, Grover Lawrence “Larry” Green of Gallipolis, Randall Green of Gallipolis, and Brian (Debbie) Green of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Brittny Kemp, Zach Green, Biranda Clark, Cassidy Higginbotham, Mariah Northup, Dalton Green, and Ethan Green; ten great grandchildren with one on the way; and one great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Grover was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Summer Harris; great granddaughter, Lyla Shae Green; three sisters; and four brothers.
The funeral service for Grover will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Kings Chapel Cemetery. Military rites will be given by the Gallia County Funeral Detail at the cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
