Peggy Jane Schoffler nee Casto, 72, of Portland, passed away, at 7:25 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023, in the Overbrook Center, Middleport. Born November 13, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Oman and Mildred Benson Casto. She retired from the State of Michigan Water Department.
She is survived by her children, Mindy Schoffler, Missy Schoffler, Bobby Schoffler, and Michelle Sowers, all of Howell, Michigan, and seven grandchildren. Sisters, Betty Davis, of Parkersburg, WV., Dottie Anderson, of Kenna, WV., Barb Simons, of Ripley, WV., Sharon (Jim) Bryant, of Fowlerville, Michigan, and Linda Westfall, of Ripley, WV., brothers, John (Nora) Casto, of Portland, Roger Casto, of Point Pleasant, and Denny (Linda) Casto, of Ripley, WV., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Tabatha Schoffler, sisters, Leona Johnson, Patty Folden, Joann Simons, and Mary McKeown, brothers, Jack Casto, Donald Casto, Dean Casto, Darrell Casto, and Steve Casto.
A memorial service will be held later in the Spring and the convenience of the family. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine is entrusted with the arrangements.
