Ernest Paul Anderson,96, of Dexter, Ohio left his earthly home to go to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born on July 4,1926 in Calhoun County West Virginia to the late Elzie and Arminda {Starcher) Anderson.
Paul was a member of Mt.Union Baptist Church. He formed the Gabriel Quartet in 1975, singing Bass with the Quartet for 30 years. He was a proud veteran serving in the US Navy during World War !!. Paul loved to travel and spent many vacations fishing in Canada with his family.
Paul retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1983 and began driving his own dump truck hauling stone, in addition to fill material, sand and gravel until age of 92. He was also a great mechanic.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Esther Anderson, parents Elzie and Arminda Anderson, three brothers, two sisters, brother-in-law David Profitt, and son-in-law Bill Senn.
He is survived by his son, Ed Anderson, two daughters, Sue Senn, Kay (Evan) Dickinson, granddaughter, Melissa Carson, three nieces, and many friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 1:00pm at Anderson-McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio with Pastors James R Croston and Steve Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Standish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Mt. Union Baptist Church (40178 State Route 684, Pomeroy, OH. 45769) in memory of Paul.
