Alfred Edward Horton Crow, 105, of Albany, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the O'Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio. He was born on August 12, 1917, in Great Bend, Ohio, to the late Harry Crow and Maude Allen (Crow) Thornburg. Mr. Crow was a member of the Trinity Congregational Church in Pomeroy, 65+ year member of the Pomeroy/ Racine Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, and a constant and faithful contributor to the Beacon School.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Curtis) Martin; close friend, Don Arnold; grandchildren, Alexander Stone, Stefanie (Santiago) Ramos, Amanda (Ryan) Harvey, Vickie (Terry) Rice, Carly Crow, Steven (Ashley) Winebrenner, Kimberly (Brandon) Stansell, and Jill Foster; many great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; special niece, Rebecca (Jerry) Oken; daughter-in-laws, Kay Crow and Mary Crow; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marjorie (Swart) Crow; children, Harris Crow, David Crow, and Nancy Crow; an infant daughter, Kimberly Crow; step-grand daughter, Katie Miller; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 11:00am at the Trinity Congregational Church in Pomeroy. Burial will follow in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 6-8:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.
A Masonic service will be presented the evening of visitation at 7:45pm.
