Ronnie M. Rutherford of Pomeroy, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 23.
A native of Sistersville, WV, Ronnie was married for 50 years to Charlene (Diehl). They lived in Bright, IN, for thirty years prior to retiring to her hometown of Pomeroy.
Ronnie was a U.S. Air Force veteran who continued his interest in all things aviation, from building model airplanes to attending Space Camp to his membership in the American Society of Aviation Artists. A talented artist, he leaves behind many creations.
He was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph University, Cincinnati, OH.
He is survived by his wife Charlene, his son James M. (Rebecca), Bright, IN; his daughters Tracey Weber (Brandon Wingate), Camas, WA, and Machele Tribble, Columbus, OH; grandchildren Davin Weber, Columbus, OH, Hunter and Kaden Weber, Vancouver, WA, Dylan Tribble, Erlanger, KY and Peyton Hughes, Columbus, OH; and in-laws Jo Ellen and John Yeary, Charleston, WV, and nephew Phil Yeary (Meghan Willson) and their daughter Lane, Philadelphia, PA.
Visitation will be held at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home, Pomeroy, on Friday, August 26, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m with Father Mark Moore officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Local Post 9926.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Ronnie’s memory to Meigs County Foundation, P.O Box 109, Pomeroy, OH 45769.
