Delbert Franklin Clark, 84, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Holzer Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1938 in Yellow Springs, Ohio, son of the late Emanuel Franklin and Virginia Dare Clark.
Delbert was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Crown City, Ohio. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Delbert was married to Nancy (Fowler) Clark for 61 years. After graduating from Gallia Academy High School, Delbert served his country in the US Army. Delbert was a life-long carpenter with a passion for genealogy.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Clark, as well as his children, Kyle Aaron Clark, Anna Marie Jones (Ron Gillum), and Debra Jane (Darryl) Martin; seven grandchildren, Dustin Eugene Jones, Drew Mason (Cassie) Clark, James Emanuel (Keva) Jones, Alisia Nicole (Brandon) Johnson, Jesse Dalton (Katy) Jones, Elizabeth Renee (Marcus) Coleman, and Colt Jagger Clark; seventeen great grandchildren; brothers, James Harry “Jim” Clark and Charles David (Robin) Clark; sister, Nancy Virginia Hayes; and sisters-in-law, Betty Clark and Judy Clark.
In addition to his parents, Delbert was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Anne Clark and brothers, Jennings “Flip” Clark, Carl Lynn Clark, Daniel Clark, and Paul Timothy Clark.
The funeral service for Delbert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Military honors will be given by the Gallia County Funeral Detail at the cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the funeral home.
