James E. Blair, 94, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Holzer Assisted Living and has now made Heaven his home.
Born on January 20, 1929 in Ironton, Ohio, Jim was the son of the late Clarence David and Elizabeth Crawford Blair. Jim retired from the Gallia County Health Department. He was a self-employed contractor and a brick and block mason. Jim also worked at Gallipolis Developmental Center. He served in the United States Navy, earning a World War II Victory Medal. Jim was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Gallipolis and VFW Post 4464.
Jim is survived by his sons, James C. (Terri) Blair of Patriot, Ohio and Mark D. (Lynn) Blair of Gallipolis, Ohio; daughter, Gwen (James R.) Craft of Gallipolis, Ohio; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and sister, Joann Lewis of Port Charlotte, Florida.
