James Alan "Jim" Wells (Dunlap) 77, of Radcliff, Ohio, passed away May 13, 2023 in the home where he was born
and raised, surrounded by family. His parents were Rev. C.B. "Button" and Dorothy Elizabeth "Lizzie" McGhee Wells.
Jim is survived by his wife Betty Lou Dixon Wells, stepdaughter Robin (Blaine) James, son Alan (Gerri) Wells,
daughter Regina (Randy) Hill. Grandchildren Tiffany (Rich) Welsh, Derik Hill, Gracie Lou Hill, and Madison Wells;
a sister Lois Davidson, a sister-in-law Sue (Joey) Nelson; and a special niece and close family friend Alesia Swart;
his fur buddy Scooter, also several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mildred Gregory, Doris Conley, brothers Francis and Raymond Wells
as well as several nephews and a niece.
Jim was a family man, good friend and neighbor. He was a farmer and semi-truck driver all his adult life.
The last few years he was a Vinton Township Trustee as well. He worked for McArthur Trucking and retired
from Sands Hill Coal Company. Always ready with a wise crack to fit any occasion.
Jim was the neighborhood historian, a member of the Wilton High School alumni, enjoyed the Wilkesville
Fish Fry, The Bean Dinner, Family Reunions and any place there was food.
Jim's place for "Making Peace with his Maker" was back on the hill on the farm, (Church).
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, with Pastor Donnie Quesinberry
officiating. Visitation is Wednesday 4-8 pm at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in the Mace Cemetery
