Julia Mae (Meadows) DeWeese, 90, of New Haven, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Pleasant Valley Healthcare Center, Point Pleasant, WV.
She was born August 23, 1932, at her home place on Hizer Creek (Putnam County) West Virginia, a daughter of the late Alfred Thomas and Mary Ellen (Simmons) Meadows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James DeWeese; son, James DeWeese; daughter, Nancy DeWeese and several brothers and sisters.
Julia had previously worked for the Solo Gas Station in New Haven, cared for the elderly and was a homemaker. She enjoyed bird watching and planting a variety of flowers.
Survivors include her son, Jeff DeWeese and his wife, Vickie of Letart; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
There will be no public services at this time.
