William Joe Grimm, 71, of Letart, WV, passed away May 27, 2023, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born July 6, 1951, in Letart, WV, a son of the late Ernie and Mary A. (Friend) Grimm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Marie Grimm, great-granddaughter, Norah Lynn Walker.
He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School. He was a retired truck driver for Waste Management with 30 years of service and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching his birds.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Vickie Lynn (Hayward) Grimm; sons, Dennis J. (Dana) Grimm of DeKalb, IL and Ernie J. (Michelle) Grimm of Letart; daughters, Mary A. (Brian) Peters of Genoa, IL, Sherri L. (Scott) Rempfer of Stillman Valley, IL and Nicole L. (Richard) Wanzo, Chicago, IL; brothers, Walter “Dit” (Jeanie) Grimm of Letart, Albert “Beanie” (Stacey) Grimm of Letart and Carl (Shirley) Grimm of Letart; sisters, Clara B. Neal of Point Pleasant, Carol “Cricket” Scarberry of Letart and Sarah (Glen) Hoselton of Letart; 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 P.M. ~ Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Brian Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Letart-Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 am until time-of-service Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in his memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
