Sally Kathryn Waugh, 81, of Crown City, Ohio passed away at her residence on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Sally was born on January 26, 1942 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Timothy and Piccola Clemens Sprouse. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Norman, Cecil, Calvin, Sydney, William, and Albert Sprouse; five sisters, Lola Mae Morris, Myrtle Cravis, Bessie Cummons, Roxie Marie Wells, and Barbara Millar; and a special friend, Vern Esposito.
Sally was a loving wife, mother, and grandma. She loved to cook and feed everyone who came to her home. If you left hungry, it would have been your own fault. She was married to Francis A. Waugh; and he survives her in Crown City, along with three sons, Allen Waugh (Tricia Roush), Wayne (Donna) Waugh, and Tony (Lori) Waugh all of Crown City; fourteen grandchildren, April Queen, Cindy Hatfield, Jarrod Waugh, Sarah Smith, Ashley Warner, Tiffany Marcum, Maria Thompson, Amanda Meadows, Jordan Meadows, Hannah Waugh, Logan Waugh, Brock Roush, Rebecca Waugh, and Caleb Waugh; nineteen great grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty Saunders of Gallipolis, Mary Whitt of Columbus, and Bonnie Kemper of Crown City.
The funeral service for Sally will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Kings Chapel Church with her nephew Pastor Barry Whitt officiating. Her burial will follow in Kings Chapel Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at Kings Chapel Church. Pallbearers will be Owen Queen, Jarrod Waugh, Brandon Smith, David Warner, Austin Marcum, Logan Waugh, Landon Felber, and Tim Stapleton; honorary pallbearer will be Caleb Waugh.
