Jack L. Swain, 78, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away at his residence. Jack was born on September 14, 1944 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Willard Joe and Emogene Shoemaker Swain.
Jack was a self-employed construction and excavating owner; he enjoyed gardening and was a horse and dog lover.

He is survived by his children, one daughter, Tiffini Swain (Brett) Bostic of Gallipolis and three sons, Billy (Tabby) Swain of Crown City, Jackie Swain of Gallipolis, and Brady (Amanda) Swain of Gallipolis; six grandchildren, Hailee (Matt) Koeckert, Maggie (Kevin) Malone, Ethan Swain (Mercadies George), and Grant, Heidi, and Memphis Swain; two great grandchildren, Brettsen Malone and Hunter Salvo; three sisters, Karen Gooldin of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Jennine (Willie) Wood of Gallipolis, and Darla (Greg) Smith of Gallipolis; two brothers, Nick (Lynn) Swain of Crown City and Kevin Swain of Crown City; and several other extended family members including a special thanks to his care-giver, Tasha Roush. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Walter Gooldin and a sister-in-law, Loretta Swain.

The funeral service for Jack will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Sizemore officiating. His burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home.
