William “Bill” Peck, 68, of Patriot, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.
Born on July 19, 1955 in Marysville, Ohio, Bill was the son of the late Walter Peck and Joyce Gwilliams Peck, who survives in Marysville. On February 3, 1973, Bill married Sherry Rice Peck in Gallia County; she survives him in Patriot. Bill retired from Kyger Creek OVEC Operations with 43 years of service. He graduated from Southwestern High School Class of 1973. Bill enjoyed the outdoors, restoring antique tractors, and collecting and riding Harley Davidsons. Above all, he cherished and adored his family and pets.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sherry Peck of Patriot; mother, Joyce Peck of Marysville; children, Jonathon Rice (Carolyn), Stephenie Peck (Tadd), and Jason Peck; grandchildren, Jenna Akers (Jon), Hannah Tucker (Josh), Colby Lee (Hannah), Riley Wooldridge, Khloie Peck, Seth Williamson (Lexie), Alexis Williamson, and Tyler and Taylor Wooldridge; great grandchildren, Ryder Akers, Keely Tucker, Lincoln Lee, and Scarlet and Baker Williamson; siblings, Paula (Boz) Bozo, Cheri (Berry) Peck, Mike (Jenny) Peck, and Karen Hopkins; and pets, Wamsley and Tito.
A Celebration of Life for Bill will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Vinton Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating. After the service, there will be time to visit with the family.
