Barbara Ann “Barb” Hall Morrison, 61, of Bidwell, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at her residence.
Barbara was born on April 2, 1962 in Highland Park, Michigan to her parents, Jim and Betty Hall, who survive her. She was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School Class of 1980. Barbara was married to the love of her life, Raymond Morrison, on July 2, 1983; they celebrated 40 years of marriage this year. Raymond survives her along with their two children-daughter, Amber (Brandon) Bentley of Sandusky, Ohio and son, Andrew (Candace) Morrison of Cheshire, Ohio. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Tristan and Katee Bentley and Braxton Morrison; step granddaughter, Brooklyn Sizemore; niece, Elicia (Kyle) Scott and son Rowan; and brother-in-law, John Irwin. Also surviving are many relatives in Michigan: aunt, Sabine Lockitski; cousins, Darcy Lockitski, Brian (Elaine) Lockitski, Aaron and Bella Lockitski, Kris (Kelly) Lockitski, Emma and Sawyer Lockitski; and many more cousins on her father’s side.
To know Barb was to love her. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend. Barb adored being a grandmother, and she was her grandchildren’s biggest supporter and cheerleader. She loved traveling with her family, especially to the ocean and the Great Smoky Mountains. Barb loved visiting lighthouses and had a collection of which she was very proud. Barb was also a collector of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, a passion she was able to share with her daughter.
Throughout her journey with cancer, Barb kept a positive attitude and supported others on their journeys. She was a loving believer in God and prayed relentlessly throughout her journey. Her faith in God carried her through, and she was an absolute pleasure to be around.
Barb was preceded in death by her precious sister, Theresa Carol Hall Irwin on November 29, 2022; her maternal grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Lockitski; paternal grandparents, James and Mary Jane Hall; and uncle, Paul Lockitski, Jr., as well as twelve aunts and uncles from her father’s side. In addition, Barb was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Ruth Morrison. Barb was also preceded in death by her beloved pet, a Newfoundland dog named Buddy.
A private Celebration of Life for Barb will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Sisson officiating. The family requests consideration of a donation to God’s Hands at Work, 1170 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
