David Michael Persons, 61, of West Columbia WV, passed away on January 4, 2024, in at his home, He was born on July 1, 1962, in Parkersburg Wv to Denver and Betty Persons
David had a passion for art and was a skilled carpenter. He enjoyed using his artistic abilities to create beautiful pieces. In addition to his carpentry work, he enjoyed working on Automobiles and Motorcycles.
David is survived by his significant other Angela Hubbard, and his children: Rochelle Gloeckner, Deni Persons & Caddric Zerkle, and David Persons Jr., a brother, Dennis Persons and Pam as well as his sisters, Reva Foster and her husband, Nelson, Lisa Reed and her husband, Charles. He leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, along with several stepbrothers and stepsisters.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elchard and Stella Persons, Henry and Reva Cutlip. He was also preceded by his parents, Denver Persons and Betty Hart, and stepfathers, Jack Mercer and Ronald Hart. David's stepmother, Linda (Clark) Persons, and his sisters, Marsha Persons and Denise Persons (Clark), and a brother, Charles Persons, also by a half-sister, Melinda Persons, along with several aunts and uncles.
David received his GED and pursued a career as a self-employed carpenter. He took great pride in his work and left a lasting impact on those whom he worked with or for.
A funeral service will be held at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 1:00pm. Visitation for family and friends will be held two hours prior tot he service. Burial will follow in the Chester Cemetery.
