Obituary
Charles Lewis Stover, age 85, of Bidwell, died Friday June 23, 2023 at Holzer Senior Care Center. Born June 11, 1938 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Raymond Joseph and Esta Shaver Stover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his siblings; Freddie Stover, Frances Caldwell, and George Stover.
Charles was a lifetime resident of Gallia County. He retired as a Supervisor from Goodyear\Shell Corp, after 30 years of service. He was a member for over 38 years of the Morning Dawn #7, Aladdin Shrine, and the Gallipolis Shrine Club. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Charles is survived by his wife; Mary E. Stover, Daughter; Kimberly D. Baxter and her husband Gary; son; Ronald W. Martin, and his wife Ann, 4 grandchildren; R.J. (Jamie) Martin, Kris Vavala; Terre Nowowiejski, and her husband Steve, James Fink, and Isadora Fink; a brother; Ralph Stover, and a sister; Barbara Langhorne, and her husband Doug.
Masonic Services will be conducted by Morning Dawn Lodge #7 at 12:45 PM on Saturday July 1, 2023 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood, followed by funeral services conducted by Kimberly Baxter and concluding with a military flag presentation by the VFW #4464 Honor Guard. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM. till 12:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Shriners Children Ohio, One Children Plaza 2 West, Dayton, Ohio 45404 in Charles memory.
Pallbearers will be: Dustin Mink, Jerry Scott, John Grate, Brent Davies, Bill Morris, and Robbie Page
