Karen Louise Carter 65, of Gallipolis, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 28, 2023 at Abbyshire Nursing Center.
Born February 4, 1958, in Springfield, Ohio, Karen was the daughter of the late Kathleen and Charles Whaley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Ann Tawney and brother, David Andrew Whaley.
Karen is survived by her husband Don Carter, children, Angie and Adam Carter and her grandson, Jalen, sister, Kim (Brad) Painter, brothers, Chris (Cathy) Whaley, Jeff (Missy) Whaley and Rick (Tara) Cunningham, brother-in-law, Roger Carter, nieces and nephews, Kelly (Lacey) Painter, Katie (Chad) Brotherson, Zane (Chrissy) Whaley, Nina Harter, Beau (Andrea) Whaley, Matthew Cunningham, Cory Tawney, Coby Tawney, Ryan Carter, Anne (Casey) Clary and Kerry (Justin) Dill.
Karen loved music and watching old movies. She cherished her children, grandson, many friends and especially her husband Don. Her presence will be truly missed.
The family would like to thank Patty Jones for her loyal friendship to our sister.
