Text

On November 5, 2023, Margaret Cecil Bunch, at the age of 88, entered eternal rest at Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born July 22, 1935, to Homer and Nella Fultz. She was raised with her six brothers and sisters, Dayton Briggs, Verna Mae Smith, Marvin Fultz, her twin brother Albert “Sonny” Fultz, Loretta “Roe” Holmes, and Robert “Bobby” Fultz. To some, she was known as Teeny. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was family-oriented and enjoyed being around her loved ones. She especially enjoyed bingo and watching wrestling. Her phone time with those close to her was a highlight of her day. Many people called and spoke with her on a daily or weekly basis. Notable was her grandson George or Cito calling to check in on her every day in addition to her son and daughter. She appreciated the beauty of nature including her flower gardens. Last year, she was amazed as she traveled to see the ocean for the first time and to be with loved ones at the beach.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, siblings, first husband (Lewis Henry McCarter), second husband (Artis James Bunch Sr.), daughters Salome May McCarter, and Julia Virginia Jordan, and stepdaughter Joyce Ann Mayo. She is survived by her daughter Christy Ann McCarter (Jerry Rider), son Artis James Bunch Jr., and stepson John Bunch. She is also survived by her grandchildren, two of whom she raised, Lewis Brandon McCarter Sr. (Selena), and Margaret Shannon McCarter, with the rest being George Jordan, Antonio Jordan (Renee), Margaret Rachele Jordan, and Olivia Rider. She also has a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
