Samuel Lee Morris, Sr., 83, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Wednesday May 3, 2023 in Abbyshire Place, Bidwell, Ohio. Samuel was born October 23, 1939 in Wayland, Kentucky, the son of the late Lonnie and Annie (Jones) Morris. A United States Army Veteran, he married Joyce Miller Morris October 19, 1968 and she survives.
Also surviving are children: Senita (Edward) Griffin, Samuel Morris II and Kimberly Hudson, all of Gallipolis, Ohio; Johnny Grimes, Georgia; Kelly (Michael) Parker, Florida; Darrell Morris and Anna Maria (Ectrich) Williams, both of San Bernardino, California; Kathy Wilson, Georgia and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded a son, Hollis Morrison and brothers Ronald Morris and R.B. Morris.
Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 PM Monday, May 8, 2023 in the Morgan Bethel Cemetery, Bidwell, Ohio with Pastor Marlin Griffin officiating. Full Military Graveside Rites will be performed by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail. There will be no visitation per Samuel’s request.
