William “Scott” Curfman, 54, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 in the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, following a courageous battle with ALS. He was born May 30, 1969 in Gallipolis, son of William Curfman Jr. and Ruth Ann (Green) Curfman, Gallipolis, Ohio. A 1987 graduate of Kyger Creek High School, member of Gallipolis Elks Lodge #107, he was an employee of the Ohio Department of Transportation, District 10, Gallia County before his illness forced him to take leave.

Scott is also survived by his wife, Amy (Davis) Curfman, whom he married February 13, 2016; children: Kayla (Dusty) Burns, Wellston, Ohio; Micah (Steven) Kearns, Jackson, Ohio and Bryce Curfman, Gallipolis, Ohio; stepson, Luke Saunders and stepdaughter, Jessica (Zach) Blanton, both of Gallipolis, Ohio; grandchildren: Kayden Jayjohn and Zoey Burns; Ivy “JoJo” Kearns; Carson, Hudson and Hayes Blanton. Also missing Scott are sister, Christy (Craig) Richards, Gallipolis; nephew, Ryan (Tiffany) Richards, Ashland, Kentucky and niece, Tessie (Justin) Triplett, Cheshire, Ohio along with a host of extended family members and many friends.

Scott will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father and PaPaw.

Memorial services will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the Gallipolis Elks Lodge #107, 408 2nd Ave, with Pastor Denny Coburn officiate. A Receiving of Friends will be conducted Friday at the Lodge 6:00-7:00 PM. The family requests all attendees wear their Ohio State University Fan gear in honor of Scott.
