Ellen Matney, 64, of Bidwell, passed away, on Sunday, August 13, 2023 in the Arbors of Gallipolis. Born August 25, 1958, in Gallipolis, she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Betty Henry Siders. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Danny Matney, of Bidwell, Jerry, (Tammy) Matney, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV., and Beverly Lynn Koella, of Vinton grandchildren, Danny Matney Jr., Dalton Matney, D.J. Matney, Layton Matney, Briaonna Skidmore, Carson Matney, Jacob White, Austin White, and Bayley McIntosh, and a host of great-grandchildren. Sisters, Penny (Joe) Christian, of Gallipolis, and Cathy Patterson, of Gallipolis, brothers, Stanley Siders, Duke (Sharon) Siders, and Mark (Karen) Siders, all of Gallipolis and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband. Albert “Junior” Matney, a daughter-in-law, Samantha Matney, and a granddaughter, Cambria “Maddy” Matney.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis with Pastor Mark Dunlap officiating. Interment will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call an hour prior to the service on Friday.
