Larry Donald Curry, 84, a native of Chesapeake, Ohio and a long time resident of Gallipolis, passed away at 2:44 a.m Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in his Bulaville Pike home with his family by his side. Larry was born August 12, 1939 in Chesapeake, Ohio, the son of the late Donald Van and Mary Earline Billups Curry. He married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Burnheimer, on March 11, 1967, and spent 56 beautiful and fulfilling years growing a beautiful family that was the joy of his life. Larry enjoyed fishing and it was his favorite past time that he passed down to several of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed coin collecting, playing cards with family and friends, telling stories of the past and getting lost on the back roads sightseeing with his beloved wife. He loved long conversations with anyone, even strangers, and dancing like there was no tomorrow. His love for his family and his pride in them all radiated from him, it didn’t matter how long it had been, he always greeted them with a huge smile and wide open arms.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers, Ernest Curry and Van Curry, his sister, Barbara Curry, as well as his granddaughter, Rylie Curry and step-grandson, Trevour Keaton.

His legacy continues on with his wife, Barbara Ann Burnheimer Curry, his children, Donald (Cathy) Curry, April Curry, Sue (Jeremiah) Parsons and Brenda Lamm, his grandchildren, Samantha (Andrew) Godwin, Donovan (Alyssa) Curry, Joshua (Paige) Curry, Andrew Curry, Kylie Curry, Desiree (Miguel) Ruiz Mendoza, Jeannie Klinglesmith, Briar Klinglesmith, Patrick Clay, Shasta (Paul) Barker, Savannah (Larry) Martin, Lawrence Lamm, Eugene (Jasmine) Lamm and Brittany Lamm, great-grandchildren, Mason, Emalyn, Jaxson, Kayson, Deloris, Erik, Felix, Miguel, Azul, Estrella, Joaquin, Kenndra, Cyrus, Faith, Lilly, Ulysses, Odessa, Braiden, Rhilynn, Jesslee, Blaire, Liam, Mariah, Brantley, Madison, Daniel, Chloe, Peyton, Joseph, Gabriella, Jayden, Jasper, Noah, Olivia, Abilgail, Preston, Trenton, Harden, Kaylee, Avery, Nevaeh, Christian, Jamesyn, Adalyn, Shaine, GraceLynn and two more on the way. Also surviving is his sister, Carmelita Hawthorne, step-grandson, Adam Scalf, step great-grandchildren, Aiden, Axel and Zaylee. Numerous nieces, nephews and family friends also survive.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2024 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis. Larry’s grandson, Donovan Curry, will be officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Casketbearers are Larry Martin, Eugene Lamm, Donald Curry, Donovan Curry, Joshua Curry and Patrick Clay.
