Jeffrey “Jeff” Todd Baird, age 60, went to his eternal home on Monday, April 1, 2024, lovingly surrounded by family in Bradenton, Florida following a long illness.

Jeff was born on October 3, 1963, in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late James Paul Baird and Judy Kay (Cremeens) Baird. He was a 1982 graduate of Gallia Academy. He next attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He went on to work for many years as an IT specialist for Holzer Health Systems in Gallipolis, Ohio.

Faith and family were of the utmost importance to Jeff. He was a member of Good News Baptist Church and attended there regularly with his family. He was a proud and loving father to his two children, Matthew and Melissa. Matt has many wonderful memories of Jeff teaching him to fish and watching game shows with his dad after school. Melissa held a special place in her dad’s heart. It was obvious he would do anything to make his little girl smile.

In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents Oscar and Madge (Ralston) Baird, grandparents Otha and Bonnie (Carter) Cremeens, and sister Pamela Dawn Baird.

He is survived by his mother Judy (Cremeens) Baird of Bradenton, Florida; his children Matthew (Meghan) Baird of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Melissa (Christopher) Campbell of Gallipolis, Ohio; his grandchildren Londyn Toler, Cali Campbell, Henry Baird, Cooper Campbell, Charlotte Campbell, and Grant Baird; his siblings Greg (Chris) Baird of Chillicothe, Ohio and Tami (David) Hocker of Bradenton, Florida.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Heritage Baptist Church (formerly the Good News Baptist Church), 4045 Georges Creek Road at 2 p.m. with Pastor Thom Mollahan officiating. Calling hours are beforehand at 1 p.m. Burial to follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Heritage Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home.
