Middleport - Dorothy Boggess, 73, of Middleport, passed away, Friday, April 7, 2023 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
Born September 3, 1949, in Ripley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Denny Alva and Mary Pauline Richards Meyers.
Dorothy is survived by one son, Jason (Nichole) Boggess; one daughter, Melissa (Richard) Boggess; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Freddie, Gracylln, Christopher, Kenneth, Lassirsa and Candice and several brothers and sisters.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie in 2001: three daughters, Norma Stewart, Mary Rhoades and Peggy Boggess and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Burial will take place in Letart Falls Cemetery in Letart at a later date. Friends are encouraged to sign the online guestbook at ewingfuneralhome.net.
