Nelia E. Seyler, 83, of Pomeroy, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her residence.
Born April 12, 1940, in Pomeroy, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Thurston and Laura Nelson Stone. Nelia was a lifelong resident of Pomeroy and was a loving mother and grandmother. Many people remember Nelia from her days as the owner of Seyler’s House of Treasures in Pomeroy. Nelia loved to gamble and made many friends in her gambling circle.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Phalin and Angie Bass; two sons, Joey Barton and Micky (Shannon) Seyler; eight grandchildren, Rob, Adam, Michael, Tara, Mia, Jordan, Dylan and Emma; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Kay Rupe and special loved ones, Dave Bass and Tim Greene.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Seyler in 2000; seven brothers and a granddaughter, Allie.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
