Brandon Michael Scheaffer Fuller, 29, of Athens, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 1, 2023, as a result of an automobile accident.
Everybody who knew Brandon knows his laugh well. It was a loud, unrestrained sound of joy that filled a room, reaching everybody around him and inviting them to join in. He was able to turn any room into a celebration and make anyone feel welcome and at home with him, his love and kindness things that he gave freely because he never ran out. He was an extraordinarily intelligent, uniquely talented, and exceptional son, a kind and loving grandson, an honest brother, a genuinely warm and loving life partner, and the truest, most dependable, patient, and kind friend anybody could have. Whoever you were to him, you knew when he looked at you that he didn’t spend time weighing the pros and cons - he accepted all of you, and he loved the whole package.
He was a quick-witted, intelligent person with a sense of humor that sometimes caught you off guard, but always brought laughter to any situation. He was a passionate, talented musician who was quick to trade a song with anybody. When he first started playing, he was embarrassed to play. He never knew he’d left the window open and his dad and mom would sit and listen for hours. By the time he was jamming on porches or playing to a room of friends, his love and passion for the music and people around him could be felt in every note he sang.
Though there’s so much more to be said, everything, ultimately, boils down to this: Brandon was the rare kind of person who truly made the world a more beautiful, welcoming place, and we are all better for having known him.
Brandon is survived by mother and father Sari and Steve Bailey Jr., Life Partner Myca Roberts, brother Justin Hamlin and sister-in-law Zoe Graham, brother Michael Bailey, sister Rhanda Bailey and brother-in-law Corey Lilly, brother Tyler Wurth, Grandparents Rebecca Bailey, Sandy and Steve Bailey Sr., Holly and Bob Scheaffer, Great Aunt & Uncle Janet and Terry Teeter, Aunt & Uncle Heidi Bailey, Cindy and Billy Underwood, and Cousins Kayla and Jimmy Young, Brian and Tee Young, Ashlyn, Kaitlyn, and Kyle Underwood, as well as innumerable family, friends, and many others who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in Athens. Visitation will be on Saturday morning 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
