Lisa G. Fisher, 59, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at her residence. Lisa was born on September 22, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of Faye Rossiter Unroe who survives in Gallipolis and the late Paul Milard.

Lisa retired from teaching after 35 years. She had spent 30 of those years with Gallia County Local Schools with the last 20 being at Hannan Trace Elementary. There she taught 1st grade where she served as a resource and a mentor for students and staff. Lisa was a member of the OEA where she served as treasurer for Gallia County Local Schools for years. She is a University of Rio Grande alumni where she obtained her Bachelors Degree. Lisa loved educating and found her calling in teaching children. She showed unwavering strength fighting cancer twice, never giving up. Lisa enjoyed camping where she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She loved to spend time with friends and was always thinking of everyone before herself. Lisa was a caring wife, loving mother, wonderful grandmother, compassionate sister, devoted daughter, thoughtful friend and incredible person. She will be missed by every life she’s touched.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Tim Fisher, whom she married on October 17, 1992 in Gallia County, Ohio; two daughters, Erica Fisher (Rodney Chesser) of South Shore, Kentucky and Erin (Justin) Dixon of South Shore, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Brayden and Braxton Chesser, and Penny Dixon; her mother, Faye (Bobby) Unroe of Gallipolis; two sisters, Terri (David) Short of Gallipolis, Ohio and Lori (Paul) Sanders of Patriot, Ohio; her in-laws Roger and Margie Fisher of Oak Hill, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews; and her pet Jack Russell Terrier, Freckles; special friends, Janelle Hineman, Vera Johnson, and Heidi Birchfield.

The funeral service for Lisa will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Young officiating. Her burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Willis Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
