Randall “Randy” Gene Hawley, 75, of Pomeroy, Ohio, passed away on November 22, 2025. He was born on December 1, 1949, and spent his life devoted to his family, friends, and community.
Randall is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Darla Hawley, and their sons Randy (Regina) Hawley and Shawn (Heather) Hawley. He was a proud grandfather to Hannah, Abbie, Devon, Brody, Mallory Hawley, and Luke and CJ Willis, and a cherished great-grandfather to Kai and Phoebe Hawley.
He is also survived by his siblings Jerry (Jane) Hawley, Tom (Karen) Hawley, and Bruce (Cindy) Hawley; special friends Jack and Sherry Ritchie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Betty (Lee) Hawley and his brother, Jeffery Hawley.
Randy lived a life rooted in simple joys and meaningful connections. He loved coaching softball and baseball, spending time hunting and fishing, and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his grandchildren at their ball games. His steady presence, encouragement, and gentle humor will be remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, with Roy Oldaker officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
Randy will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, family, and community spirit will live on in all who were blessed to share life with him.
