Mickey R. Hutton, 75, of Rutland, Ohio, passed away May 2, 2026, unexpectedly.

He was born September 1, 1950, in Rutland, son of the late Ewing E. Hutton and Minnie (Coy) Young.

Mickey retired from Conrail Railroad and also worked for Penn Central Railroad. After retirement, he enjoyed working with his cattle and spending time watching football, especially cheering on the Cleveland Browns.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rachel (Jacks) Hutton; his mother and stepfather, Minnie and Charles Young; his stepmother, Judy Hutton; his children, Chris (Theresa) Hutton of Gallipolis and Marty (Loraina) Hutton of Rutland; stepchildren, Anthony (Becky) McGrath and Rhonda McGrath; grandchildren, Corey (Nicole) Hutton, M.J. (Destinee) Hutton, Jordan (Kelsey) Hutton, and Mary Grace Hutton; great-grandchildren, Montana, Carolina, Myles, Krue, and Wrigslee, and one great-grandchild on the way, Grady; as well as several nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and two step great-great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, Edward (Pat) Hutton, Pamela (the late Del) Ogdin, Marlene (the late Van) Johnson, Tony (Shelly) Hutton, Terry Hutton, Missy (George) Adkins, Mindy (Rodney) Butcher, Pam (Tony) Haggerty, and Kevin Hutton; and step-siblings, Terry (Denise) Rowe and Vicky (Donnie) Barnett.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Steve McGrath, Charles McGrath, and April Counts; his siblings, Lonnie Wade Hutton and Larry Dean Hutton; and his grandparents, Vivian Coy, Everett Coy, and Muriel Young.

He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his love for his family and farm.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on May 8 at Miles Cemetery in Rutland, with Reverend Michael Philips officiating.
