Linda Sue Puckett, 83, of Bidwell, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 2, 2026, following a short illness. Born to the late Homer and Ruth (Saunders) Halley on March 19, 1943, in Crown City, Ohio, Linda is reunited in heaven with her parents; an infant sister, Sandra Halley; her brother, Brent (Carolyn) Halley; her sister, Idris Halley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Studie and Thelma Puckett; and brothers-in-law, Ron Wills and Doug Pugh.
A loving wife of 61 years, Linda is survived by her husband, Roger, whom she met as a senior in high school at Hannan Trace, as well as her two children, Daron (Shellie) Puckett of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Tricia (Todd) Reed of Marshallville, Ohio. She is also survived by three sisters, Karen Wills of Gallipolis, Ohio, Pam (Jim) Swain and Vickie (Van) Willford, both of Crown City, Ohio; one brother, Kent (Christine) Halley of Bakersfield, California; three grandchildren, Jacob (Alyssa) Reed, Jared Reed, and Cassie Puckett; her sister-in-law, Sharon Pugh; and many nieces and nephews.
A loving wife, mother, Grammy, and sister, Linda always put others above herself, caring for her family with unwavering compassion. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and found her greatest joy in seeing her family together. Above all else, Linda’s faith in the Lord guided every aspect of her life. She served Christ faithfully and now rests in His kingdom, awaiting the joyful reunion with the family she loved so deeply.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at First Baptist Church with Pastors Aaron Young and Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service Tuesday from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the church.
