Alice Sara Ann Bing, 82, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 5:50 a.m. in Holzer Medical Center after being in the hospital for two weeks. Alice was born on August 21, 1943 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late Floyd Darrell and Claris Ann Halley Cox.
Alice had a deep love for her family and had compassion, generosity, and love for everyone with no one being excluded. Alice was married to Carl Russell Bing, Sr. on December 8, 1962; and he preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by her children, Carl Russell Bing, Jr. (Sue Bing) of Gallipolis and Betty Bing Burris (Charles A. Burris) of Gallipolis; three grandchildren, Carl Branden (Meggan) Bing, Regina Renea Bing, and Austin Reid Burris (Charlotte Burris); six great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild; sister, Luella Hazelbaker; brother. Charles Cox (Margie Cox); many nieces and nephews; and a very special friends, Terri Corbin and family and Diane Knapp and family whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by three sisters, Elsie Pauline Cox, Hazel Evelyn Wright, and Wilmina Grace Reel and five brothers, Hayward Cox, Floyd Cox, Merrill Cox, Allen Cox, and Warner Cox.
The funeral service for Alice will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Chapman officiating. Her burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Thursday prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Austin Burris, Curtis Lee Cox, Todd Cox, Louis Cox, Charlie Cox, and Chris Cox.
