Text

William Edward “Bill” Beach passed away at his home in Pomeroy, Ohio, on October 4, 2022. He was born on May 4, 1948, in Middleport, Ohio, to the late Freda Marie (Ratliff) Jacks and the late Roger Beach.

He was an avid sports fan and loved to spend his evenings listening to the local high school sporting events on the radio. He loved all sports, but his favorite was football. His beloved teams to follow were the Meigs Marauders and the Ohio State Buckeyes, and he made sure to listen to their games every week.

Besides sports, Bill had a special place in his heart for kids and animals. He took care of any animal that would walk up to his door. He had no children of his own; however, he had many nieces and nephews. He never wrote down a date but would remember each of their birthdays and loved hearing about their accomplishments in life.

He is survived by his siblings, Jacklynn Sigman, Bruce Beach, and Penny (Mike) Kauff, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and his friends from Jacks Road.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freda Jacks and Roger Beach; a stepfather, Richard “Junior” Jacks; brother, Michael “Mike” Beach; brothers-in-law, Elmer Sigman and Raymond Reynolds; and a sister-in-law, Lori Beach.

Upon Bill’s request, there will not be funeral services; however, the family will have a dinner to celebrate Bill’s life at date that will later be determined.
