Frances Elaine Coleman of Clifton, West Virginia passed away on October 3, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born on September 18, 1933 in Middleport, Ohio to the late Harold and Ouida Chase.
She is survived by her husband Reverend Clifford Coleman; daughter, Sheila (Ralph) Roush; son, Michael (Holly) Lieving; daughter, Judy Lieving; daughter, Sue (James) Gumm; daughter, Jane Zirkle; grandchildren, Stacie Scarberry, Craig Roush, Merrily (Dr. Lance) Broy, Dr. Wes (Amanda) Lieving, Dustin (Brandie) Zirkle, Jennifer (Chris) Tanksley and Jason (Becky) Roush; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Anthony and Ruth (David) Jenkins; step-children including Gill (Tim) Taylor, J.T. (Jennifer) Coleman, Vicki Clark and Sue Swartz; 7 step grandchildren; and 6 step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Raymond Lieving, the father of her children, and Harold Young; sons-in-law, Chester Roush and Oris Zirkle; step-son, Chester Young; step-daughter, Pennie Coleman Downey and brother-in-law, Gerald Anthony.
Frances graduated from Middleport High School in 1951. She retired from Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant, West Virginia and the office of Dr. Robert Holley.
For many years she served as pianist and Sunday School teacher at Salem Church in West Columbia, West Virginia. When her children were young she was a Mason County 4-H Leader and a volunteer for the Mason County Fair. She was also a volunteer for the West Virginia State Fair and the West Virginia State Farm Museum. She enjoyed serving her Lord by volunteering to play piano for revivals in churches that did not have a pianist.
Frances and Cliff enjoyed their many travels in our country and abroad.
She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Mason, West Virginia.
Arrangements have been made through Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Middleport, Ohio where visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Cheshire, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Josh Waybright officiating.
