Elaine Irene Anderson, 94, of Ravenswood, WV, went to meet her Lord and Savior on March 18, 2023.
She was born on May 22, 1928, to the late Irene and Charles Abby in Richmond, California. She met and married the love of her life, William “Bus” Anderson in 1945. They would be together for the next 73 years. They had two children, Vickie Sehorne (Doug) of Prestonsburg, KY, and William Anderson (Teresa) of Ravenswood, WV.
In addition to her children, she is survived by 6 grandchildren, Valerie, Andrea, Erin,Eric, Jeremy, Matt and Alex; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Don Davis of Idaho; and a sister, Connie Thompson of California.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jackie Dishong and Charlotte Zanolini.
Her passion in life was teaching, and she taught at Heritage Christian Academy in Ravenswood for 40 years. She was very active in the church and taught Sunday school and bible study. She learned ventriloquism and played the piano, loved painting, quilting and crocheting. She dearly loved her two cats, NASCAR, and the Atlanta Braves.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV at 1:00 pm, with a visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, time of service. Pastor Jeremy Sehorne will be officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.
