Bettsy R. Stanley, 76, Albany, passed away peacefully Sunday March 12, 2023,
at her residence.
Born December 11, 1946, in Harrisburg, Illinois, she was the daughter
of the late Rev. Stewart W. Radford and Mary Margaret Betts Radford Haas.
She was a homemaker.
Bettsy is survived by her husband of 52 years Ronald Stanley,
daughters Jennifer Warner of Albany, and Sarah (John) Buswell of Athens;
grandchildren Tamara, William and Cora Warner, Emma, Ian and Owen
Buswell; 3 great-granddaughters; a sister Jeanie (Ed) Bunting, of Locust Grove
VA., sisters-in-law Sue (Art) Smith, and Pam Stanley, all of Athens,
many cousins and nieces and nephews.
Services are Wednesday at 11 A.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home with
Peter Galbraith officiating. Visitation is Tuesday 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home and
1 hr. prior to services. Burial will be in Athens Memorial Gardens.
