Margaret V. Sharp McAllister Thompson, 94 Albany, was called home, Saturday April 15, 2023,
at Kimes Convalescent Center, in Athens, Ohio.
She was born February 16, 1929, in Athens, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles Arthur
and Mae Stover Sharpe. Margaret worked many years in food service as a cook, waitress and
had a smile for everyone she met.
Margaret is survived by a son and daughter in law Charles William and Ella McCallister of
Albany; a grandson Charles William McCallister and partner Kim Hurt, of Albany, great-grandchildren
Jerrika Swart, Alex McCallister and McKenzie Hurt; sisters Mary Burleigh, Mildred Haines, Effie Bledsoe,
and a brother Wilfred Dallas Sharpe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ray Elmer Thompson,
brothers Charles Frederic Sharpe, Robert Lee Sharp, sisters Jean Rosser, and Geraldine "Judy" McDonald.
Services will be Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, with Pastor Barry Bolin
officiating. Visitation is Thursday 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will be in Athens
Memorial Gardens.
